Hannah DeForest

My name is Hannah DeForest. I am a homeschool mom of four girls and former BYU art student. I love teaching my children and am looking forward to teaching a little bit of art to some of yours!

JulieAnn Willey

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Teaching from BYU, and taught Spanish 5 years in public and private schools.  I've spent some time in both Mexico and Chile and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with other people.  My husband also has a BA in Spanish, and we are raising our 4 children bilingually.

Keilani Wasson

My name is Keilani Wasson; you can call me Miss. Kei.  I am from Hawaii and have loved teaching ever since I could remember.  I am an elementary education major and have my associates in early childhood education.  I have taught preschool for five years, and have taught various grades in elementary as well.  I will be teaching dance, grammar, and math.

AS A TEACHER I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN EVERY CHILDS LIFE THAT I TEACH, whether it is in or out of the classroom I want to help each child grow, learn, and develop in his or her own way.  Making a difference as a teacher means touching and changing a students or child’s life forever.

I absolutely love kids.  I love to be surrounded by their radiant, young, excited spirits and characteristics.  It is impossible to have a bad day as a teacher I know this because I served as a preschool teacher for five summers and I loved being surrounded by their special, unique, and priceless individualities.  I develop a deep love and appreciation for each child in the classroom; I look forward to going to work.  I am just as excited as the students in their learning process and enhancement, it makes me a better teacher and it creates such a fun learning environment.

I love to create magic moments in a student’s life.  It is so exciting to witness and be there for a student when he or she grasps or accomplishes a concept or task.  It is absolutely amazing to witness their excitement, and it helps keep them motivated as well.  I like to create those moments; it’s what defines you as a teacher.  I enjoy seeing progress in a students work, its instant feedback and it is the beginning of creating a solid foundation for learning as well as progressing.

I love to be creative, and as teacher creativity is key in teaching I want learning to be fun for me as a teacher and the students as well.  I plan to teach the way I would like to be taught, as well as adapting and changing teaching methods to help other students as well.  I enjoy making learning fun!!

Teaching is fun!!! It’s basically getting paid to do what I love most: being involved in a child’s life, making difference and touching a life forever.

Sarah Hainsworth

I hold a degree from Brigham Young University in Theatre Studies. During my years at BYU I studied costume design and construction, set design and construction, scenic painting, acting, and directing. Since early 2008, I have worked with over 80 students at Centennial Middle School directing "Into the Woods, jr.", "The Music Man, jr.", and a murder mystery titled "All Over but the Shooting." I have also worked on various independent theatre projects including assisting in the design and construction of 9 marionette-type puppets for UVU's recent production of "Charlotte's Web". I am currently the Prop Shop Manager at SCERA Center for the Arts where I design and build props for each stage production.

Susanne Evans

Susanne Evans loves learning and children, and loves to have fun with science! She is a homeschooling mother of seven children,  grandmother of seven, and has a degree from BYU in Theatre Arts. Don't be surprised if she comes to class wearing a volcano costume. Ms. Frizzle (Magic School Bus) is her science heroine.
