FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Small children

Q: I have a toddler.  Can he attend the 4-7 year old clubs with his siblings?  What about classes? Does he have to pay?

A: Yes he can come, if mom or dad comes too and takes him out if he gets bored or disruptive.  He doesn't have to pay.  Just sign up a parent for the class so we know you're coming.  You can sign the toddler up too, but right now it will charge for him, so until we get that fixed, stick with the parent and make a note of that when you pay.

For classes, he can come if space is available.  If he wants to participate, the supply fee (if applicable) should be paid.  Sign up the same way as above.

We do also have a waiting room with toys for parents to wait in with little ones as well!

Field Trips & Events

Q: Can our family just participate in field trips, events and clubs?

A: We try to reserve the field trips and events for families who have a child enrolled in at least one class.  In order to keep Keystone Arts Academy going, we do need to have people who are paying!  You can join the clubs only if you wish, but remember the more you can enroll in classes it helps us to pay for all our expenses.  Some field trips and events may be open to other homeschoolers if we have extra spots.

Parents in Classes

Q: Can Parents attend classes?

Yes!  If a child is enrolled in the class, a parent may enroll online for free.  If the parent would like to take a class (especially the teen classes) without a child enrolled in that class, a parent may enroll in that class as a student and pay the regular fee (the class will count towards the family discount.)

Pricing

Q: Are your prices per month?

No.  They are for the entire 10 weeks.  The more classes your family takes, the bigger the discount you get!

Lunch

Q: I want to take all the classes, but there is no lunch break for me.  When do I eat?

You can sign up for all the classes and not have a lunch break, that's up to you.  In most classes, the teacher will allow you to eat in class provided you aren't distracting and you clean up after yourself.

Location

Q:  Can I take classes at both locations?

Sure! You can take classes at one or both, no problem.

Enrolling

Q: What if the class I want to take is already full?

Sign up and pay for it anyway, you may still get in.  Sometimes people drop out of the class, and sometimes the teacher will allow a few extra students in (without  making the class too big.)  Sometimes we get an assistant for the class.  If you don't get into the class, we will issue a full refund (including supply fee.)

Q: How do I add or drop classes?

Go to your family page.  Click on the student's name.  On the student's page, click on "add or drop" classes.  On the enrollment page, check the box for the class you want to add, or uncheck the box for the class you want to drop.  Go back to your family page to select another student if needed, or go to the family enrollment summary to see your changes.  Be sure to click on "Confirm Enrollment" so that the cost will be adjusted on your payment summary page.   If you need a refund, be sure to email us to request the refund.

Payments

Q: How do I find out how much I owe?

On your family page, go to the "Payments Summary" page.  This page lists all your transactions such as tuition or event charges, and payments made.  If you made a payment but don't see it listed, please contact us.
